Our Favorite Projects Of The Year
As the year comes to a close, we, the team at Verge Creative Group, are looking back at our favorite pieces of 2016. This year has been one of change for Verge. Between moving to a new office, adding employees to our team and welcoming new clients to our family, these last twelve months have set us on an exciting path for the company. At Verge Creative Group we are very lucky to have the opportunity to work with some of our favorite brands. All of the projects we work on require countless hours of work and collaboration between the entire team and our client partners. Everyone here works incredibly hard to meet client needs and it is not often that we stop and ask ourselves which pieces we are most proud of.
So with a successful year coming to a close, we surveyed the team on some of their favorite projects that we had the privilege to work on and rounded them up below. We can’t wait to share all of the exciting projects we have ahead of us as we prepare for the new year.
April Atherton, Marketing Manager
Client: Sanctuary
Project: Camouflage Pouch GWP
Why You Loved It: As a new team member at Verge Creative Group it has been an incredible experience to learn the design process. One of the first programs I had exposure to was this tough-girl inspired pouch that was designed as a gift-with-purchase program for Sanctuary. With its thoughtful design and on-trend pattern, this olive-green pouch has quickly become a staple for me. It is the perfect size to fit all of my essentials!
Carmen Wong, Product Designer
Client: Ann Taylor LOFT
Project: Travel Jewelry Pouch
Why You Loved It: The jewelry pouch in rose gold saffiano with a polka dot printed interior is my favorite piece because it is useful for carrying little things when I travel. I recently brought it with me on my vacation to Iceland and will be packing it for my upcoming trip to Finland. It could also be a cute gift!
Christine Kang, Creative Director
Client: Saks Fifth Avenue
Project: Tossed Bow Travel Case
Why You Loved It: Working on the Saks private label collection this year was a high point for me. I always love the sophisticated glamour that Saks is known for but developing a signature print to represent their “DNA” was a true privilege.
Kate Warren, Art Director
Client: Sephora
Project: Mara Hoffman for Sephora Collection
Why You Loved It: It was a really exciting opportunity to work on a collaboration with Sephora and Mara Hoffman (one of my favorite designers for print). This bag is the only one I need to hold all of my toiletries and cosmetics when I travel. Added bonus - some of the pieces act double-duty and are reversible.
Milana Naumenko, Supply Chain Manager
Client: Barney’s New York
Project: Private Label Metal Mesh Bucket Bag
Why You Loved It: Barney's gunmetal bag is one of my favorite pieces from 2016. It's versatile enough to look fashionable with anything from casual outfits to evening wear.
Samantha Zusy, Account Director
Client: Sephora
Project: Studley Sponge and Travel Case Set
Why You Loved It: Sephora's Studley was definitely my favorite product in 2016. It's such an essential that is also so cute! It merges an adorable poof keychain with a perfectly functional case to house a blender sponge. Refinery29 agrees!
Stephanie Correa, Account Manager
Client: Saks Fifth Avenue
Project: Saks Fifth Avenue Collection Crystal Clutch
Why You Loved It: My favorite piece of the year is the Saks Fifth Avenue Collection Multicolor Crystal Clutch. I love this clutch because of how effortlessly beautiful and edgy it is. I mean rainbow jewels and gunmetal hardware? Yes, please.
Tanya Isler, Director of Finance
Client: Nautica
Project: Jeremy Summer ‘16 Duffle
Why You Loved It: The Jeremy duffel offers a lot in appearance, function and character - perfect for an impromptu weekend getaway. This bag’s simplicity and spacious interior is ideal for the modern on-the-go person.
